SHOTOKAN KARATE HAMILTON INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT

Shotokan Karate Hamilton is a Member of Traditional Karate Arts Canada our Chief Instructor is Sensei Owen Carter who currently holds the rank of 2nd Dan. Sensei Owen trained for many years under Sensei Masami Tsurouka 10th Dan (deceased) who is considered the father of modern karate in Canada.

Sensei Owen now trains under Hanshi Kim Dunn 8th Dan and Renshi Tom Okura 6th Dan the founding members of TKAC.

Sensei Owen regularly trains in other karate styles and attends numerous clinics. He also competes in the masters division of a number of local tournaments every year, and he is also the Dojo Administrator and an instructor at Shikomu Karate Club in Burlington
